Acrobatic Gymnastics Team
Acrobatic Gymnastics, or acro as it is commonly called, is a combination of artistic gymnastics, pairs figure skating, and Cirque du Soleil acrobatics and choreography into one sport. The competitors tell a story with their performances, while capturing audience attention with thrilling dynamic and graceful balance skills.
Acrobatic Gymnastics is fun for athletes of any age and athletic ability. Athletes of varying heights, weights, and body types can participate in acrobatic gymnastics. Smaller, more flexible athletes are needed as tops, while taller and stronger athletes are ideal for base positions.
Acro and Tumbling Team
Acro and Tumbling Team classes are where many students without experience will start, to work on developing their fundamental gymnastics, tumbling, balancing, and acro skills. This leads into the more advanced Acrobatic Gymnastics Team.
Team and Competition Philosophy
At MGA, our main goal is to help every child on our team to reach their full potential. We believe that athletes flourish the most when they are consistently challenged to be better, and rising to the occasion. We have family values, which means that we have high expectations for our athletes, but stay constructive, treat each child with the same amount of caring and respect, and believe that the journey along the way is just as important as the destination.
