Did you know that there different types of gymnastics tumbling skills? There are front tumbling skills, back tumbling skills, aerial or kick over skills. There are twisting skills, double flipping skills and multiple bounding skills. Tumbling works your whole body and strengthens your arms and legs and even your torso. Tumbling is an anaerobic activity which uses burst of energy for training like sprinters. Tumbling helps with balance and coordination and it requires only a minimal amount of flexibility in your arms, legs and back to accomplish. People that tumble have good bone density and posture and the activity helps to trigger your lymphatic system when you turn upside down and move. Overall, tumbling is one of the healthiest activities that gymnasts, cheerleaders and even people that do parkour can do for themselves.
